Sharing your password to the MLS system is a violation that carries an immediate $1,000 fine. All MLS users must use their own MLS User ID and password to access the MLS system, with no exceptions.

  •  Sharing your MLS password with expired listing lead platforms or virtual assistant services is strictly prohibited.
  •  If you have an unlicensed assistant who needs to access the MLS system, complete and submit the Unlicensed Assistant Information Form.
  •  Never share your MLS password with your website designer. Technology vendors can request a data feed by visiting Canopy MLS Data Licensing.
  •  Do not share your MLS password with an assistant for the purpose of paying Association Dues or MLS Fees. Instead, your assistant may call Member Services to pay over the phone.
  •  Sharing your MLS password with your client is strictly prohibited.

As a reminder, Canopy MLS staff will never ask for your password.  You should consider any request to divulge your password to be an attempt to compromise your account no matter how innocent or reasonable that request may seem.  Questions? Contact Compliance or call 704-940-3159, Opt. 4.
