The U.S. Secret Service has alerted NAR to a new scam exploiting real estate professionals through fake cryptocurrency investment schemes. Scammers pose as wealthy cash buyers, build trust with agents, and lure them into fake crypto platforms—resulting in devastating financial losses. This is a variation of the “pig butchering” scam, where early small gains are used to bait victims into investing more.  Stay vigilant.
