When viewing a seller’s home, be considerate of the seller’s property.

•    Do not allow anyone to eat, drink, smoke, dispose of trash or use the bathroom facilities during a showing.
•    Do not allow buyer clients/customers to bring pets, unless it is a necessary service animal, into the seller’s home.  Consider letting the listing agent know about the necessary accommodation.
•    Take off shoes inside the property if the weather is bad.
•    Make sure you leave the property as you found it – lights off, appliances off (if you turned them on), doors and windows locked – unless otherwise instructed.

We have had numerous reports of buyers using seller’s bathrooms.  While we know there are emergency situations, consider stopping at a restaurant or coffee shop to use public facilities before heading to a listing.  And remember, vacant properties sometimes do not have utilities, such as water, turned on.  Please refrain from using the bathroom in these homes.
