With the release of the new Canopy MLS login page you can now save your login information, making the process of logging in to the MLS that much easier.  Up until this version of the page, however, saved passwords could not be used, and Canopy MLS has recommended selecting the "Never ask again for this site" option when a browser would prompt you to save your password.  This means that now, even with the option available, you may not be able to save your username and password.  This article will guide you through the steps for the four most common browsers to re-enable this option for yourself.

Apple Safari

  • At the top left of your screen click the "Safari" menu, then click "Preferences".
  • In the Preferences window click the "Autofill" tab at the top.
  • Make sure there is a check in the "User names and passwords" box
  • Next click the "Passwords" tab at the top of the "Preferences" window
  • Enter your device password to unlock this window
  • Search the list of websites for "Canopymls.com".  This will likely appear as "login.canopymls.com", but other sites we maintain may appear here as well.
  • Select any Canopy MLS sites that appear here, then click "Remove" at the bottom right of the window.
  • Close the Safari Preferences window, then click the "Safari" menu at the top left of the screen and select "Quit Safari".
  • Re-open Safari and log into www.CanopyMLS.com.  You should now be prompted to save your password.

Note: if your Apple device is equipped with Touch ID and you would like to use this feature for your MLS login, click the "Apple" icon at the top left of your screen, then click "System Preferences".  Select the "Touch ID" icon, then make sure there is a check beside "Safari AutoFill".

Google Chrome

  • Open Chrome and click the "three dots" menu button at the top right of the window, then click "Settings" near the bottom of this menu.
  • At the top left of the Settings page click "Autofill", then select "Passwords".
  • Make sure that "Offer to save passwords" is enabled (the slider should be blue, not gray)
  • At the bottom of this page, in the "Never Saved" section look for "login.CanopyMLS.com", then click the 'x' to the right to remove it from your list
  • If you see any other references to "canopymls" in this list, remove these as well.
  • Close the Settings tab, and log in to www.CanopyMLS.com.  You should be prompted to save your login information.

Microsoft Edge

  • Open Edge and click the "three dots" menu button at the top right of the window, then click "Settings" near the bottom of this menu.
  • At the top left of the Settings page select the "Profiles" tab, then select "Passwords".

Mozilla Firefox

  • At the top right corner of Firefox, click the "Three lines" button (  ), then click "Settings" near the bottom of the menu.
  • On the left side of the Settings page, select "Privacy and Security".
  • Scroll down to the "Logins and Passwords" section, and make sure there is a check in the box next to "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites".
  • Click the "Exceptions" button to the right of this option.
  • In the list of websites that opens, look for "login.CanopyMLS.com".  If found, select it and click "Remove website" at the bottom left of this window.
  • If you see any other references to "canopymls" in this list, remove these as well.
  • Click "Save Changes" at the bottom right of this window.
  • Close the settings tab, and log in to www.CanopyMLS.com.  You should be prompted to save your login information.
