You may have encountered this error while working in Matrix:

Though the text of this error makes it seem as though it relates to the amount of time you have spent in the MLS, this is often caused by one of two actions you have taken instead.  Generally this error will appear while you are attempting to save data in the MLS and something has interrupted your data entry.  Unfortunately, once the error has occurred, anything you were trying to save will be lost and you will need to start your work over.  Below you will read about the reasons this error may appear, and the simple ways to avoid it.

First, this error can be caused by pressing the "Back" button in your browser.  As you are working in Matrix, there is generally a "built-in" way to return to the previous screen whenever you need to so you should never need to click the browser's back arrow.  Depending on the page you are on, this may be a button that says "Back" or "Cancel":

a tab at the top of your screen (as when running a search or working on a listing):

Or a "breadcrumb trail" at the top left of the screen:

The second common reason for this error is using opening two Matrix tabs in the same browser window at the same time, and switching back and forth between them:

Having more than one Matrix window open at a time can be very useful.  Matrix, however, does not have the ability to process two different sets of data coming from the same browser window at the same time though.  So, to have two Matrix windows while avoiding this error message your easiest option is to simply open Matrix in a different browser - if you generally use Google Chrome, open a Mozilla Firefox window, or vice versa, then log into the MLS using this second browser as well.

Alternatively, you can use your browser's "Private" mode to have two Matrix windows even when you only have one browser available.  This can be found by clicking the menu button at the top right of your browser (or clicking the "File" menu at the top  left of the screen in Safari), then choosing the appropriate option:

Apple Safari:

Google Chrome:

Mozilla Firefox:

Microsoft Edge:

Make sure to open this second window and log in before starting any data entry, and you should be able to avoid seeing this error message ever again.
