Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools has announced that, starting with the 2018-2019 school year, they will begin phasing the middle school assignments fed by a few elementary schools.  The Mecklenburg County GeoPortal lists two middle schools as the “home school” for properties in these areas, and this has led to some confusion among listing agents who are trying to decide which school to report on their listings.

Canopy MLS recommends reporting the school for the Grade 6 assignment, as this is the school being phased in.  If desired, listing agents can add a note to the “Public Remarks” regarding the grade 7 and 8 assignments.
